Transport Planning are undertaking a pedestrian wayfinding signage scheme across the borough focusing on the five main urban areas of Mitcham, Colliers Wood, Morden, Raynes Park and Wimbledon.
The Wimbledon part of the scheme is now well advanced. A meeting to present the scheme has been arranged for 7pm on March 4th at the Mansel Road Centre in Wimbledon. I have booked the venue from 7-9pm. If we are able to open the meeting by around 7.15pm, this should be sufficient time to discuss the project in full. I will be presenting for approximately 20-30 minutes which will leave a good hour for a discussion afterwards. These signs will also incorporate the plans to introduce the Wimbledon Way.
With regards to timescales, following on from this meeting there will be a two week consultation period ending on Friday 19th of March, with an overall plan to have all signs installed before the beginning of this years tennis championship on June 21st.
