Wimbledon station forecourt exit

On more than one occasion I have seen near accidents at the exit from station forecourt/Taxi rank.

The cars leaving the forecourt, quite rightly leave on the display of the green traffic signal (which only they can see), how ever pedestrians crossing at the same time are un aware of traffic leaving. This is no different form crossing any junction or road where traffic control signals exist, but usually the apply to ALL users.

At a minimum there should be a sign but would be even better is a red/green man set of lights for the pedestrians.

It is only a matter of time before some elderly person not able to jump out of the way will be injured, by a car, or someone with a heart condition being frightened to death
