Raynes Park, Crossrail and High Streets

The two presentations from the Raynes Park Community Forum meeting last Thursday are now available from our website. These covered Crossrail 2 and the proposed development at Bushey Road. The link is http://www.merton.gov.uk/community-living/communityforums/raynesparkcomm…

As was also mentioned at the meeting Raynes Park High Street has been named as one of the country’s best high streets by being shortlisted in the annual Great British High Street competition. It has been named as one of the top three in the London High Streets category. To win the award Raynes Park High Street needs local people’s votes. This year’s competition saw a record 230 applicants and now, for the first time, the public can vote for their best-loved high street online at www.thegreatbritishhighstreet.co.uk until mid-November.

If Raynes Park High Street wins, not only will it get a share of the £80,000 prize, but it’ll get expert training and tailor-made tips from Google’s training taskforce – the Digital Garage on Tour – for many of its shops, bars and restaurants.

To cast your vote visit www.thegreatbritishhighstreet.co.uk

You can follow @TheGBHighSt on Twitter and using the hash tag #GBHighSt. Please tell all your friends and family and ask them to vote too – We MUST win!
Voting closes in mid-November.
