Wimbledon's Piazza will provide the venue for The World Goods and Food Market featuring a great range of 'exotic' foods, drink, crafts, clothing, jewellery, home furnishings and accessories. For example the taste buds of hungry visitors will be tickled with ready to eat Caribbean jerk pork and chicken together served with spiced rice and dumplings. Alternatively, you could try freshly cooked Paella from Spain or traditional South American cooking from Peru.
For those wishing to take food home with them there will be a number of stalls selling high quality foods such as French Cheese, Pate, Bread from the organic Flour Power Bakery based in London selling traditional breads and pastries (made from a range of European recipes), Turkish Olives, Dried Fruits, Baklava, Italian Salamis and not forgetting some traditional English ales and ciders and great fresh free range meats from Lincolnshire.
Paul Kennedy - director of Market Square Group the World Market Operator puts the success of the market down to the universal appeal that it holds "Our job is to create original themed markets with a team of traders that are selling products of excellent quality and originality. To form our World Market, we actively seek out that which is 'unusual' and often, some might say, 'exotic'.
