The Hartfield Road Car Park Development –
The P3 site SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT?
A detailed planning application has been submitted for the development of the ‘P3’ site, the Hartfield Road Car Park, a site for which Merton Council is both the vendor and also the planning authority.The plans show a dense 'mixed use' development 8 storeys above ground and 3 beneath, including a hotel, low cost and private housing, shopping and basement car park. The Forum will review the proposals and asks is this sustainable development? Chaired by Marcus Beale RIBA, Chair of the Civic Forum Urban Design Task Force, with speaker Steve Clark Head of Planning at LB Merton.
