HEALTH FORUM – AIMS & ACTIVITIES

The Health Forum has as its prime purpose the establishment of a new primary care unit at the Nelson Hospital, managed by a Trust controlled by local doctors. The Forum is leading an information and consultative campaign which includes analysing the needs of the local community. The scheme, among the first of its kind in the country, brings together leading executives of the two NHS Trusts, local community associations and health groups and the local authority.
