the Transport Forum planning team.
French Advertising Manager since 1980 for Decanter Magazine,
a monthly publication on the wines of the world, trained
at Oxford Polytechnic in 1972-4, in Hotel and Catering
Administration, then Sommelier at Château Hôtel
d'Artigny at Monbazon near Tours in the Loire Valley
1976-9. Contributing author for the Loire section of
Harvey's Pocket Wine Book (1980), and member of various
wine orders: Entonneurs Rabelaisiens de Chinon, Commanderie
de la Dive Bouteille of Bourgueil, Ordre de la Chantepleure
of Vouvray, Commanderies des Côtes du Rhône,
Commandeur d'Honneur de la Commanderie du Bontemps de
Médoc, Graves et Sauternes, Vigneron Echevin
d'Honneur de la Confrérie des Vignerons Echevins
de Montagne, Lussac, and Puisseguin Saint-Emilion, Confrérie
Saint-Etienne d'Alsace, and last but not least, Grand
Ordre du Trou Normand des Calvados, Cidres, et Pommeaux.
Wimbledon resident since 1981, married to Regina since
1980, one daughter and two sons.
