Dr LIZ NELSON OBE has lived in Wimbledon since 1960. In 1965 she became founder chairman of Taylor Nelson in Epsom. TNS plc is now the world’s fourth largest market research company.

The OBE came in 1997 for services to Ecolabelling. Until early 2002 Liz served as Chair, Southwest London Community NHS Trust and Chair of Governors at the University of Surrey, Roehampton.. She is now a consultant to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Chair of the WellBeing executive committee.

She is also a council member of City and Guilds and a member of the Quality Assurance Agency Advisory Committee on Degree Awarding Powers.
