WIMBLEDONCIVIC FORUM
FINANCIAL REPORT TO GOVERNING COUNCIL AND EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Current bank a/c position: Barclays a/cs £3465.68
Nat West a/cs £151.72
Total £3617.40
Main liability outstanding ( awaiting receipt of invoice for settlement) is Strover Leader & Co Chartered Accountants for preparation of accounts for year to 31/12/03 and winding up of Wimbledon Civic Trust Limited, currently in course with Companies House Estimated due £800.
The Nat West Account for Wimbledon Civic Trust Ltd will close shortly as the company is dissolved. There were approximately 30 Friends sending annual subscriptions to this account in 2004 (a small number were duplications with payments sent to Barclays) and I will be writing to those concerned shortly to encourage a replacement standing order mandate to be completed in favour of the Barclays account.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club have previously supported the Wimbledon Civic Forum to the extent of £2000pa to assist with the publication of “The Bulletin”. This was not received last Autumn as in the previous 2/3 years, although the EC are still endeavouring to encourage AELTC to repeat some support.
The WCF has continued to benefit from the very generous donations, not just in time, but in financial support, from Marcus Beale. Postage on “Bulletin” distributions as well as numerous other expenses have be born by Marcus and MBA and whilst I hope to recognise these in the accounts I would like to thank Marcus on behalf of the Governing Council for this support.
I am currently reviewing the recent changes and latest requirements for Charity Registration as this may have a positive impact in the Forum’s ability to raise finance in the future. I will report back to the EC shortly.
